Matteo Berrettini, back to Stuttgart

It has been a long wait, and now the time to return has finally come. Matteo Berrettini, forced to miss Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome and Roland Garros in Paris due to an injury to his right hand, starts again from the grass of Stuttgart, the ATP 250 tournament he won in 2019, in the final against his friend Felix Auger-Aliassime.

I am happy – said the Roman via social network – to be able to return to compete in Germany, it will be my first presence in that event since 2019 and for sure I will try to defend that title. The grass season requires a lot of preparation, especially in view of Wimbledon. I can’t wait to be on the court, I hope it will end like the last time!“.

For Berrettini and for Italian tennis this is an important return, given that Matteo is still the best of the Azzurri today, number 10 in the Atp ranking. We look forward to seeing him as one of the great protagonists of Tennis on the Racetrack, Imola 2023. The invitation-only tournament, born from an idea of CC LAB Consultant Ltd and created by  CC LAB Italia Srl in association with Enzo and Dino Ferrari International Circuit of Imola, will be staged in less than a year, after Masters 1000 in Rome and before Roland Garros. With Matteo Berrettini, who will be one of the favorites, and certainly one of the most loved by the public.
